B. Capstone Project in Health and Social Care Management major (60 UK Credits):
The Capstone Project serves as an integrated assessment of all knowledge and competencies gained throughout the programme.
Students are required to:
- Analyse health and social care systems, service-user needs, demographic trends, and community-care data.
- Design and evaluate care-delivery models, support services, intervention programmes, and person-centred care strategies.
- Manage risks in safeguarding, clinical and non-clinical operations, service quality, patient well-being, and organisational compliance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care pathways, support networks, outreach initiatives, and stakeholder-engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with health-care regulations, safeguarding standards, ethical guidelines, data-protection laws, and contract-management requirements.
- Apply digital tools—Electronic Health Records (EHR/HMS), CRM, Care-Management Platforms, Data Analytics, and AI—to enhance forecasting, operational efficiency, service quality, and organisational competitiveness.
The Capstone reflects and consolidates all learning outcomes embedded within the programme’s modules.
Upon graduation, students will receive:
- Level 6 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management from OTHM (UK government-recognized, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in the UK ENIC/NARIC Band 9).
- Bachelor of Arts in Health and Social Care Management from SIMI Swiss.
- Applicants who have completed two years of a university bachelor’s program or hold a Level 4/5 Diploma in healthcare, nursing, social work, hospital management, or related fields, seeking to complete a Top-up Bachelor’s degree.
- Graduates of a Bachelor’s degree in a different discipline who wish to obtain a second degree to broaden their knowledge and enhance their professional competencies in healthcare management, community health care, or social service coordination.
- Applicants without a College or Higher Education qualification, but with at least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare, nursing, social work, or health service management, may apply through the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) process.
- English proficiency must be at least at CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) level B2 or IELTS 5.5
